Community Involvement
Steet Ponte Ford is committed to giving back to the community! From educational events like the New Hartford Fire Truck Spectacular, to family friendly parades like the Memorial Day and 4th of July Parades, we know the importance of being involved in the community that has given us so much in return!
The Fire Truck Spectacular is held by the New Hartford Fire Department every year at the New Hartford ShoppingCenter. All local Fire Departments are invited to come with their best trucks. It's a great way for all local towns and cities to participate, get to know each other, and for local residents, children included, to learn about fire safety! Insurance Agents are always on hand to go over options, the smokehouse is always staffed to show children (and adults!) what to do in the event of a fire.
The New Hartford Memorial Day Parade & Farmer's Market is so much fun for everyone involved! We love participating in the parades every year. It's a great way for all of us to get into the community, show off our vehicles, and end at the New Hartford Fire Department for refreshments and tours afterwards during the Memorial Day Parade. Memorial Day is also the kick off to the New Hartford Farmer's Market, which we proudly are the Entertainment sponsors, bringing local acts to the weekly farmer' market held in the Village Green in New Hartford, NY!
Utica Zoo: Our Auto Group is proud to support our area's local Zoo for the 2025 year! Our sponsorship will go towards educational events that the Zoo holds, as well as their signature events like the family friendly Halloween Spooktacular!Munson's Antique & Classic Car Show held annually on the lawns of the beautiful and historic Art Museum, we are proud to sponsor this local event that draws thousands to see the amazing antique and classic cars, as well as motorcycles!
Boilermaker Road Race Pace Cars by Steet Ponte Ford! For the 2nd year in a row, we are the official Pace Car sponsors for the annual Boilermaker Road Race held right here in Utica, NY!
Holiday Giving
Annual Coats for Kids Coat Drive. We hold a month long cold weather clothing drive during October for our local schools including the Utica, Rome, Herkimer, CVA, Mayfield and Johnstown Elementary Schools for students who are in need of warm clothing to get through our cold winters!
Steet Ponte Auto Group Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. each November, we fill a vehicle in each of our showrooms to collect food donations for our Annual Food Drive. Each year, the food goes to a different non-profit organization the day before Thanksgiving. In years past, we have donated to The Rescue Mission and Feed Our Vets.
Holiday Giving Trees. for the past 15 years, we have donated gifts and wish list items for those in need. Typically we have contacted schools to adopt families, but this past year we held a Giving Tree within each of our showrooms with tags for customers and employees to collect gifts for babies and children in the House of the Good Shepherd.
Internal Events
Halloween Costume Contest. Each year, everyone at our stores are encouraged to dress up for Halloween to have some fun! We hold a costume contest via Facebook: whoever's picture gets the most likes wins prizes! We give out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for costumes, and each year they get better and better!
Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest & Holiday Party. Each of our stores has a catered, holiday lunch party at the store. We close up shop for a bit, gather for a party and always enjoy catered food from our favorite local restaurants. At our parties, everyone is encouraged to wear their best Ugly Christmas Sweater (or costume.) Like our Halloween contest, pictures are posted on Facebook and the ones with the most likes wins!
Annual Ski Trip to Gore Mountain. for the past 4 years and counting, we have put together a Ski Trip to Gore Mountain located in North Creek in the Adirondacks. We provide a full day lift pass to the mountain and lunch at the Tannery Restaurant for a fun day out in the Winter for everyone to get out and enjoy the beautiful winter sports our area has to offer!
Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group Golf Tournament. For the past 20 years, we have held a Golf Tournament rotating at different local golf courses throughout the area. Family, friends, colleagues and business members in the area are all invited for a full day of golf, lunch, dinner and drinks! 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are always given out along with door prizes- everyone always goes home with something!
Annual Company Picnic at Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge, NY. We invite our employees and their families for a fun day in the sun at the Adirondack area's water park with a full day pass, buffet lunch, and ice cream and refreshments throughout the day. This is our 24th year doing so!
